Curriculum of AYZYIM

 

     There are two kinds of curriculum provided by AYZYIM: required and optional.  The required curriculum consists of the training exercises of the Pre-Heaven Power Method at different levels.  To become a certified instructor, one only has to learn the subjects listed in the required curriculum.   In other words, the ranking system is based solely on the required curriculum. 

The optional curriculum include a number of forms and their applications from the styles of Ba Gua, Hsing Yi, Tai Chi, and Wu Dang.  They will be offered in the workshops or seminars for those interested in exploring the use of the Pre-Heaven Power Method in these styles.

     There are five ranks for certified instructors of AYZYIM:

(1)  Trainee Assistant:  Those completing the workshop training on the curriculum for an Assistant Instructor will receive a certificate for Trainee Assistant.  After approved by the administration of AYZYIM, they are qualified in starting their local chapters to teach the Pre-Heaven Power Method they have learned.

(5) Senior Instructor 

The required skills for the ranks from Assistant to Senior Instructors are outlined as follows:

 

Assistant Instructor

For a Trainee Assistant passing the test on the following items:

• Six stretching methods

• Transmission of energy with curved back

o Testing with two hands

• Wrapping the hips exercise

• The Swallow Flipping Standing Stake

• The concept of imaginary back wall

• Lifting the Sky Standing Stake

o Testing:

* Emphasize circling

* Emphasize transmission of energy

• Taming the Earth Standing Stake (vertical circles)

o Testing:

* Emphasize circling

* Emphasize transmission of energy

• Fajin test based on Taming the Earth: Stage I

o Fixed step with structure to rebound only

o Moving step

• Splitting fist

• Smashing fist

o Moving step

 

Associate Instructor

For an Assistant Instructor passing the test on the following items:

• Transmission of energy in two stages

• The Method of Muscle and Bone Separation

• Moving back knee to cause horizontal body movement

• Utilization of back muscle exercise (body shapes with incremental curvatures)

• Fajin testing based on Taming the Earth: Stage II

o Adding shaking back knee to the Stage I fixed-step exercise

• Peng Jin

• Smashing fist

o Fixed step

• Fajin based on sticky hands

• Taming the Earth Standing Stake (horizontal circles)

o Fixed step

o Moving step

• The Principle of Scales

• Shaking the Mountain Standing Stake

o Fajing testing:

* Pushing downward with circling

* Striking

• Huen Yuan Standing Stake

o Against pulling and pushing forces (single hand): Peng Jin

o Fajin (with two hands) testing

• Chyan Kuen Standing Stake and its Fajin testing

• Single hand techniques (including both hand and leg same-side stance and hand and leg opposite-side stance)

o Checking correct use of muscles

o Fajin testing with single palm:

* Fixed step:

- straight line

- neutralization with circling

* Moving step:

- straight line

- neutralization with circling

 

Instructor

For an Associate Instructor passing the test on the following items:

• Bear squatting and snake twining stances

• Battling Against the Ocean Wave Standing Stake and its Fajin testing

• Structure to relax the forearms

• Six Harmonic Random Centrifugal Force

• Repeat all the tests in the Taming the Earth stance with relaxed arms, both two hands and single hand techniques

o Still arms

o Randomly shaking arms

• Fajin by standing on single leg

• Response hands

o Preliminary exercises

* External hand techniques: Touching, Hooking, Massaging, Lifting, Twining

* Internal hand techniques: Adhering, Twisting, Propping, Rolling, Rebounding

o Free style

• Five Animal Jins

o Ape Lifting, Crane Jumping, Tiger Trampling, Eagle Pecking, Bear Leaning

• Eight Jin Methods

o Hanging, Destroying, Blocking, Bumping, Pouncing, Hammering, Probing, Lightning

 

Senior Instructor

For an Instructor who has the Pre-Heaven Power mechanics built in his/her body and the power is present whenever he/she executes a movement

• Free sparring
